This is a typical example of a threat in Internet Business, and it is serious enough for any blogger or Internet Market to take serious consideration to look out for threat in this nature.

You should be aware that such action taken by the U.S. authority shuld have considered all aspect of implications include the welfare of the bloggers. I guess due consideration has been given before such action is taken.

On the Strategic planning point of view, you could predict such happenings from the fact that the U.S. authority has taken action to the streaming of video. And along the line, it happen to the blogs. Unfortuantely, it is not easy to predict future threats in most buisness situations. However, extra attention to related cases could have trigger swuch considerations.

As pointed out in my artilces, you may not be able to avoid external threats but you can mitigate it to the least impact to your Internet Business. Backup your databse, blog and website seems to be a logical prevention to perform. You may not have the most uptodate data in your backup but the demage isminimum.

What is Business Analysis?

In a normal business environment, there are many uncertainties that affect the outlook of a business. Such uncertainties are the consequences of many factors such as those listed below:-

1. Political instabilities which affect the economy of the country
2. Business investment policies set by the authority
3. Employment situation in the labor market
4. Infrastructure which has great influence to the transportation cost
5. Availability of technology and expertise
6. Competitive environment
7. Market situation
8. Customer knowledge ( in terms of their rights )

You realized that these items are of macro in nature bu which you are not likely to have any influence. Then how best you as an investor to decide whether to invest you business in this country or go somewhere else? I believe if you were to make a decision whether to invest or otherwise, you need to have a set of criteria to help you.

A simple selection matrix can be very fast and useful. The selection criteria shall be establised first, then check the piointed liste dabove against those criteria.  Mark the level of compliance to each of them and once you have finished all the items  in the lits, do a ranking of them.

Then you need to agreed to a score by which you can decide whether it is a go or not. Keep in mind that perhaps no country has an ideal investment condition. It is a matter of which country has the most favorable investment advantage
